A.D. Tubi Inossidabili has always cared for the preservation of our planet to the benefit of present and future generations. Based on this ethics it has implemented a serious sustainability plan, at this time in cooperation with Enel X, to offset the carbon footprint of our manufacturing process.
Among the actions undertaken it’s worth mentioning that almost the entire amount of the civil and industrial wastes are destined to recycling; a significant portion of the company’s spending is made using suppliers located nearby; beehives have been placed on our property to help protect the Italian honey bee Ligustica, a subspecies of honey bee declared close to extinction; digital business cards are currently being used to reduce the use of paper and CO2 emissions.
These are not just sporadic initiatives but part of a long term plan to make our company a green non-invasive entity for the earth and all living beings.

Our apiary
In July 2024, we installed an apiary for honey production. A tangible sign that is part of AD Stainless Tubes’ sustainable growth programme. We have chosen to do our part, one step at a time, in response to the commitment called for in Agenda 2030 for sustainable development for people, planet and prosperity.
The apiary consists of two hives of bees of the Italian Ligustica breed, whose survival is said to be at risk. Each of the two hives will house 60,000 bees that, at full capacity, will produce up to 20 kg of honey per year.
The project has been developed in collaboration with Apicoltura Urbana, a reference point for the installation of apiaries on farms, which promotes the preservation of bees.

Returning value to the society in which we operate is a commitment that guides all the companies in our holding. We have always been deeply linked to our territory and every year we support local Como realities such as ASD Briantea84, an amateur sports association that aims to promote and develop sport among young people with both physical and intellectually-relational disabilities and foster a new inclusive sports culture, Charturium and the Associazione Incontri di Cantù, actively contributing to the growth of the community. We strongly believe in young workers, aware that they will be the pillars of the future. This is why we collaborate with ITS Lombardia Mechatronics, offering post-diploma internships and providing the skills of our specialized personnel for their training.
